2009 NUTZ END OF SUMMER FESTIVAL
The Nutz End of Summer Festival 2009 was held in a great atmosphere of rivalry and laughter and provided 7 different winners of the 7 events that went ahead. A great time was had by all and we are already looking forward to next year! Thanks to everyone who turned up and made it so much fun! The £1k GTD Championship Freeroll got underway on the Saturday and proved to be a fantastic test of tournament poker. The eventual winner went in with the 21st biggest chip stack but it was such a deep stack event, patient play and disciplined poker ruled. By 10pm on Sunday our new Club Champion was crowned ... Mark 'The Shark' Boyle! Many congratularions to him and to everyone who earned chips throughout the season. All the final table won (free!) money, from £25 for 10th up to £600 for the Champion. The accumulated prize pool of £57 for Player of The Festival went to Wes Gill, who was rewarded for consistent play in 3 tournaments and a win in the final £100er.
